When: Spring Classes will be for two Saturdays, 10 am-4 pm (dates TBA)
Class price: $200, which includes the welding materials (scrap metal). Students will need to wear protective clothing and gear.

Installation of Juried Sculpture
Tickets for Sculpting Party: Advanced Tickets $5, at the door $7.
Students will need to wear protective clothing/ long sleeve shirt, jeans, closed toe shoes (boots), fireproof/fire retardant apron, gloves, and helmet, no hanging jewelry, no loose threads.
1st day: will be demonstrations, familiarizing yourself with the tools, hands on practice. End of the day you will partner up with someone for a (*collaborative project). Draw out your project/take home assignment-one week to get sketch on task.
2nd day: working your project. Teachers will be ready to help guide students in technical task. Creativity is up to you.
2nd day: Finishing of Collaborative Project - If you were not able to finish the project, Schedule a time with partners & teacher for Sunday to finish up.
: Sculptures will be juried the following week before the Sculpting Party event.
Finished piece will be installed on site at the Melton Art Reference Library facility, as a public piece of art in the Sculpture Garden. This artwork can be seen by drivers along the Broadway Extension.
*: students will have an exciting opportunity to collaborate on a sculpture project that will be a permanent display in the MARL sculpture garden.
